"Copy & Paste. Replicar, re-usar y re-apropiar."
Copy & Paste es ya un concepto habitual que ha permeado en las formas de vivir y ha modificado las manifestaciones de la activad humana en la actualidad. Por un lado, su impacto ha contribuido a la transformación del arte y la representación del mundo, y por otro ha desarrollado hábitos sobre nuestra forma de relacionarnos y de estar en él. Dado que el ser de la arquitectura es la creación de los espacios habitables en el mundo cubriéndolos de significación pero también es una profesión técnica que edifica con fines prácticos en un tiempo concreto, surge una tensión entre ambas posiciones. Y es ahí donde Copy & Paste desdibuja los límites sobre cuándo aparece lo uno o lo otro.
El presente ensayo busca describir desde la perspectiva crítica tres diferentes aproximaciones a esta tensión; replicar, re-usar y re-apropiar.

Given that the essence of architecture is the creation of habitable spaces in the world –covering them with meaning, but it’s also a technical profession building for practical purposes on a specific time–, a tension arises between both positions. And it is there where Copy & Paste blurs the boundiaries of where one or the other appear.
